To help the Makerspace fulfill its mission to “encourage creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship” as a “community-oriented creative hub,” Studio Nexus left this magnificent 12,000 SF historic mill building intact, dropping in a central classroom, which also serves as the base for a mezzanine gathering space. Around this core, the members have access to precision machining tools, fiber arts, electronics, welding, robotics, graphic design, computer programming, jewelry and metalsmithing, as well as opportunities to interact with a community of other creative people.
