Lebanon Middle School Lofts - 75 Bank Street

This 42,600 sf early 20th century Junior High School has been repurposed and sensitively remodeled into what is now home for urban loft living, a fitness center and a community center for adults with special needs (Spark!). The schoolís classic New England brick exterior was virtually untouched by the renovation, while many of its interior features were retained, such as wide halls, high ceilings, hardwood floors, wood and plaster moldings, chalk boards, and lockers. Of the 43 total apartments, 40 are studio lofts and three are one-bedrooms. Playing fields--beautifully maintained for use by the community--connect the site to the Northern Rail Trail, providing walkable access to the Mascoma River. Close to the AVA Art Gallery, the Opera House, Library, and Post Office on Lebanonís town green, the renovation has resulted in new life for a building that had been, and continues to be, a cornerstone of the community.
